Namecheap coupons and discounts

I decided to try Namecheap last time with their coupon in spite of some issues with LegitScript.

I've actually had need for their support and it was a very positive experience. Their panel is also easy to use, imho.

Plus BP is an ASSHAT

That was an error because the coupon hit the limit for the super bowl promotion.

It is now working. Try it again, I just transferred my last Godaddy domains out to namecheap

Also, if I create an account, can I set name servers before names have transferred to minimize downtime?

10 domain transfers per account, yes.

You won't have any downtime, the nameserver records will remain intact for all extensions except for (I think) .eu

not specifically, but SWITCH2NC always works, I think it's for $1 off.

Comical Namecheap Discount Code...

Namecheap have pulled a blinder for this months discount code. "ELEPHANTS". Wonder if that has anything to do with Bob over at GoDaddy?

Anyway, the code will give you .com's for $9.10 and .net's, .org's, .us's and .biz for $8.81.

I'm sure it does. They have been actively trying to put their offers out there and attract Godaddy refugees. It's surprising how many people say they're going away from Godaddy as a result of that hunting incident.

It's interesting, at least to me, it took Bob shooting an elephant to convince people to leave GoDaddy. I left long before now. :p

I have an account purely for when I purchase domains already registered with them. They're usually transfered away as soon as possible. I find their UI clunky and messy compared with that of registrars like namecheap.

yes, The coupon "GOLDDEAL" works from one of my namecheap accounts.

Unfortunatly, once the domain has expired it cannot be pushed to another account of mine.

So if you don't have 50+ domains with namecheap you have to pay the original price for renewals?

Apparently namecheap has had a renewal code each of the past months and I never knew? It made them $8.75 each argh.

They also had FREE whoisguard renewal? Sheesh.

Where are their september codes?
