I received an unsolicited offer of $9500 on this domain, and then made a posting to the appraisal forum on Namepros to see if this was a reasonable offer. I then received a higher bid of $10K, which is the current high offer. I felt it was time to move the topic over to this forum.

I have always owned this domain since I registered it back in 1995 I believe. In the late 1990's we had over 100 Y2K-bug-related text links on the home page of the site and were generating revenues exceeding $100K per month from the site. I know that those kind of revenue numbers are no longer likely now, but it is interesting to see that the high PR and LP of the site once again makes the idea of selling text links a viable business model.

After filtering out spiders/crawlers, I presently see 300-400 visits per day to the domain. Given the pagerank of the site, and the many links on the web to pages internal to the site, I would expect those numbers to quickly increase dramatically if deeper and more varied content were posted on the site again.
