The Stillman Diet: Three Great Snacks
There has been a lot of buzz floating around for several years about the effectiveness of the Stillman diet. Typical of people looking upon the United States is a mind ran wild with thoughts of obesity and an all around unhealthy lifestyle. However, while the United States is the number one country when it comes to obesity, no country is immune as there are a surplus of people in virtually every country that have succumbed to the likes of obesity. Specific diets have emerged, some that have shown effectiveness and some that have shown a lack thereof, either way though, one diet that is making waves in helping create a healthy lifestyle, and has been for quite some time, is the Stillman diet.
The Stillman diet was created in 1967 by Irwin Stillman. Similar to that of the Atkins diet, the Stillman diet composes itself on a high protein yet low carbohydrate diet. Lean meats such as chicken, turkey and fish, as well as eggs, non-fat cottage cheese and specific types of condiments can be consumed. At least eight glasses of water are recommended per day also; tea, coffee and no-calorie soft drinks can be consumed but only after the recommended eight glasses. While this diet has been shown to offer dramatic weight loss, making meals that follow the Stillman diet guidelines yet still being tasty can be pretty hard. Luckily there are quite a few recipes out there that follow the Stillman diet guidelines, in fact there are three wonderful recipes listed below. . . .
