First impression is that the navigation/category bar is a little blank...a background color would do it a world of good.

Also, I see all empty categories -- fill them up quickly as you will be turning away potential vistor's at the moment.

The header is simple and clean, as are the overall colors and layout design

I like the overall layout of your site - I have some crits, though.

I think your choice of colours, are a bit "standard", in my opinion.
If you have acces to photoshop, or a similar application, i would suggest that you do something with the menu background. A nice "stripey" look would be cool - Watch the contrast, though - It will have to be very low.

I like your header, it looks very pro. The site looks very clean and easy to navigate. But I agree with Challenge, the colors are too standard. With the nice header you have, you are in a position to make a very appealing color mix. Get some inspiration googling around.

Let me just start to say that I love the header. It brings alot to the layout. Another thing that I like is the idea of the well. It goes with your slogan. I love the concept.

The structure of your layout is also pretty decent. Your layout allows more content to be added at any givin time. This is an essential to almost every website.

--Cons---
The first thing I feel should be improved is the bar on the side. There is no color there, and the border around the, doesnt seem to flow well. I suggest removing the border and adding a nice gradient background. I think that would like rather nice.

The other think i feel should be improved is the background on the top links. You should try to add the same effects.

Thanks for the advice however i have tryed to add a background to the catagorys but it seems to look a little cluttered , what colour would you suggust may look ok with the rest of the layout please.?

i don't know if you have checked your website using firefox or not but its quite messy over there. just try and make you site flexible on multiple browsers, you might loose most of your traffic from firefox if you do not fix it.both the menu (top,side) looks quite simple try making use of some more graphic effects over there. try and add more content into the bottom its very empty right now , also update your footer , the links there looks messy.

Hi again , ok i was watching the old program swapshopz which was very popular here in the uk in the late 70s and early 80s ,so i thought i would go for that colour scheme nice an bright , what do think?

first off, the colored bars down the sides KILL the eyes. Along with the colors up top. I would suggest using a more neutral toned color such as off shades of those colors. Meaning add more red or green or blue to the colors to take them off of their crayola looking color.

Other than that, the main page loaded incorrectly, with content smooshed over to the right as indicated in the screen shot provided.

Idea - Great
Execution - not so great.

I'd be redesigning more along the lines of eBay/auction site, even though its not an auction. One of the reasons eBay is so successful is the ease of use and visual ease to the eyes. Grab some ideas from these sites and then re-invent yourself. The concept is good, it needs to be presented differently.

Don't get me wrong here, i'm not trying to be the better dude here, i'm just thinking what would get me to use the site,...and the key ingredients are: visuals and adaptability/ease of use.
