Positive: The background blue is a nice shade. It is easy on the eyes and very warming. I also like the double column text for the site. The Egyptian Cookbook logo is very nice and the red and blue go quite well.

Negative: That green image at the top should change. I think the read and blue was looking very good. The green just takes away from it. I can't even read the site because my eyes keep getting pulled towards that. I also think the navbar should be under the logo and span across the page. Otherwise it is too hard to keep going all the way to the top of the page to click links. The little dotted box around the copyright should go too. The dotted box on the left content should go to. Maybe just make a dotted line in between the two panes so the user can distinguish the difference?

Attractiveness: 5/10

I noticed something easily fixed. One of your links isn't complete before it breaks to the next line ("other Egyption foods"). All you need are non-breaking spaces where your regular spaces are.

The code to do it is " " (leave out the quotes).
