They ripped the logo straight from Superman. I doubt 'DC Comics' will be happy about that.

I also find this particularly funny (or sad, depending on your POV).

You must not post any articles or links to this site or promote it in any way, other than referring people that you personally know and trust.
Ha! :o

Actually, I won't be surprised to find out that Google is running that site as a "sting" operation.

I don't know if it is just my browser but they appear to have taken the adwords down (or they have been canceled on them  ) - The wheels appear to be in motion already, we might not have to wait until next week to see this site removed. %%-

Nope, no ads here either. At least G did something about part of it. Paying them to put them out of business is ridiculous. I hope the site gets shut down. Wonder if G could get a law passed about click fraud, or is there already such a law? One strong case might get these guys to think twice about crap like this...

They even have Adsense ads on their site! I thought Google reviewed all sites applying to Adsense.

Google does not reveiw ALL sites. Only the one you submit to get accepted into the Adsense program. After you are accepted for one site, you can put adsense on all of your sites. It is up to Google to catch you after the fact.

From teh "NEWS" box on their site...

"Our members visit other members' websites and see what they have to offer and then check out their competitor’s ads that are listed on their site to check out the member’s competition. "

They certainly have the semantics covered. Almost makes it sound legal.

But I tell you, this site will not last long. I see no more adsense ads ontheir site. Also, like was stated, they stole th superman logo. They didn't even just copy it, they out and out stole it. That site is obviously a product of an under aged kid or a very stoooopid adult.

I would be in on the bet that they last only a week, but I think most of us agree therefore there is no point in betting a dime.

Legally, they have not the right to do that. If they do, they really have no recourse in such a situaton. it aint no sting operation, just plain old stooopid folk that learnt how two yooz a 'puter. They will soon learn something else.

So I called the phone # (not really knowing if I was gonna say anything) and I found that the # is invalid. At least that what the lady inside my phonecard told me :)

I wonder if the other info is valid. If not, can't he get his domain yanked from him if he is reported for this false whois info?

LAWS? Who needs another stinking law? Not I!

Situatiuons take care of themselves eventually. be patient. No use in involoving the law when it is not needed. It's like calling 911 becasue the guy next door is having a loud party. it is simply overkill and not needed. especially since the non-emergency # will do jus tfine.

Actually google probably could find out easily. They spider this site which had a link to that site. I'm sure they can very easily find out about these things themselves with their search algorythems.
