Which Layout?

Although both are NOT complete but can you tell me which one you "feel" is better, once I have decided I will make it much better, just I can't decide which style / colours before I continue.

My vote is for the first design. It grabbed my attention right away, quite pleasing to the eye.

I too like the first design the best, however, it also depend on what the site is for. Can you tell us what the site design is going to be used on? It may change my vote.

A Personal Perspective they both suck, but I guess it all depends on the types of client's your doing work for and what their design/functional expectations happen to be.
