What's The Deal With Autoblogs

I just ran across a post that mentioned autoblogging wordpress sites. After a little google research it somewhat intrigued me.

Does anyone have any experience with these autoblogging sites? Am i off base if it feels like cheating to me?

Also has anyone made any revenue from one of these autoblogging scripts?

Just a curiosity at this point, let me know what you guys think or have experienced

Autoblogs are evil machines that can get you banned from adsense if you're not careful. I used wp-robot for a while (waste of money), and half the time the content it pulled up was absolute crap. If you run a quality blog, but don't have time to update daily--get an RSS poster, but only have it fetch 1 or 2x max per day. Make sure to include lots of original content as well. If your subject is too niche, there may not be enough relevant content to pull so be careful. Autoblogs are pretty much regarded as spamblogs, and attract spam comments and dirty backlinks.

I know a few people who made money at first using affiliate ads, but now so many people have autoblogs its not really worth it.

Ask around--but I don't recommend it.

I have WP Zon Builder, an Amazon autoblogging tool.. used by itself, it's probably worthless but I can use it to supplement other unique or original content in a post or on my blog..

So basically its a good tool if monitored and used correctly but you cant just let it run rampant or it will do more damage that good. Fair enough. Thats kind of what i read online but its always better to hear it from real people.

I have more than 30 autoblogs.You have to know that autoblog scripts need an advanced setup to running smoothly.Seo knowledge is necessary also.
About the ads.It is impossible to make good money from Adsense with normal traffic.I believe that is good only for sites with 100.000+ monthly visits.For normal traffic sites i suggest Amazon,CJ,ClickBank,Ebay Affiliates.

If you've targeted users correctly and have enough sites you can make SOME money with adsense if you're lucky. But monitor closely where that traffic is coming from--and if there's a sudden surge in ctr. its a red flag and can get you banned (and prevent you from getting a check from any earned adsense revenue!)
Affiliates ads (especially those mentioned by the hero--i love CJ)can be a great source of income. I'll place another post about my favorite in the affiliate ad section. I don't want to get in trouble! My signature page is a work in progress, but I wrote a while ago about "the death of the autoblog" if you want to check it out. I also vouched for wp robot, but have since changed my mind. anyway, I think you've got enough info on autoblogs to make an informed decision--if you do use, use sparingly!

I have never seen a worthwhile autoblog.
One big thing about them is you are just scraping content from the web so it is duplicate content which rarely ranks for anything, so you will have a hard time getting any traffic.Search engines are not that stupid they can tell they are trash and treat them that way.

I respectfully disagree with autoblogs being worthless.
I actually run several autoblogs that do well in the search engines and pull in income.

The key is making sure you set them up correctly and that your site is actually scraping content that will appeal to your visitors.

Just like in any business...
The is a right way, and a wrong way, to do everything.

Do you find that your auto blog rankings have dropped following Googles new algo change of recent. I have thw wprobot plugin, are there any other recomended wordpress auto blogging scripts to share?
