I had over 350 people to my website www.poordoggie.co.uk in the last week (mon-fri) and not one of them has ordered anything, and not one of them has browsed more than 2 pages! :( What am I doing wrong? Is it the design?

Thanks
Tom

I guess the design is not attractive enough, you need to work more on the website design, try to use gradients, it would make it better.

Same case applicable for your portfolio, sorry.

prices may be turning people off and the design does need work

Ok sorry to say what design u guys talking about its simple frontpage production , u need to make attractive layout it way too dull i say for people wanting to buy something. if the main site aint attractive no one would care to buy anything , and put some examples of work. Where are the examples? cause i would not buy even soap which is not well known or not many around. Cause if ur new to marketing and stuff without any support or testimonial (real ones) and some done examples u cannt gain anything - why?- cause look around there are more competitiors around in the market than u can ever thing about.

Sorry but thats the reason i have to give u for why no one buying. Good luck.

Although I do agree that the design may be pushing people away, I think the real issue is where the views are coming from. Im guessing that half the views have come from curious forum people such as people from namepros just checking out the competition or browsing to see your quality of work. So to resolve this issue I bit of advertising my help, but advertising in the right place. A local newspaper is sometimes a good start, cheap and effective. Then when people are looking at the advert they think "yeah I need that" check your site and make a purchase.

having adverts on your portfolio web page is a BIG no, it makes you bussiness look really cheap

just something to think about

Do a bit more in the design department and that'll be great!

But reciprocal links get me some traffic - maybe I could discard some of them.

To be totaly honest, I would be put off by the design and the prices not being found without having to take your details.
I think the design is not the best....... I have seen better from you.

Have you donโ€™t something like that before? I mean newspaper advertise for your website. If yes, how many hits has been your website improved?

I havent yet... but there is a local paper - kinda like "Bargain Pages" or something. Basically people send in adverts such as "Car for sale" etc... and 1 person sent in a web design one. So I thought I would also send in one, but I haven't got round to it yet! ;)

Design puts me off, and that ad.

Hey,

Doesn't look bad but you might want to change the links rollover color. A blue rollover color doesnt look so good on a blue background.

All the best,

SW
