What do you do for a living?

Hi,

I am new here. I have been reading discussions and experienced domainers keep saying that most of the people don't make a living by selling domain names.

Was just wondering, does anyone here do this full time i.e. make a living our of it?

If not, what do you do for a living?(I hope it is not considered rude asking this question )

I arrange executive round table discussion/exchanges around the world within the HR space - think Rewards, Comp & Ben, Global Mobility, Talent Management & Acquisition and your on the right track...

I have said this would be a good idea within this space @Rob Monster is looking to do something similar with his Dojo Domain concept, albeit in a less formal environment and only involving fellow domainers.....

Always thought it would be great to connect senior marketing/sales executives from companies (500+ employee size) to the domaining community to talk about this industry, the challenges they are facing, future trends and how good domains can fit into a company's marketing/sales strategy.

Find a good facilitator, a great venue, provide a compelling agenda and let the conversation flow!

Would probably need to mix it up with other marketing/sales concepts, but it is something that I have on the shelf to look at in more detail in the future

i am exporter of himalayan salt from pakistan & apparel stock lot exporter from pakistan apparently now empirenames is my 4th business 3rd was ecommerce in dubai which collapsed because of facebook ads policies..so total 3 businesses running now..

I'm retired after working in science research, teaching and outreach for many decades. It was interesting, challenging, and fun and through it met so many wonderful people.

Domaining for me is largely hobbyist. Anything I make from domains I put back into growing my portfolio, but for most part never invest anything else in domains. I think domains are interesting, challenging and fun, and through NamePros have met many wonderful people.
