I just posted about this over at DP. While the designs are a little different, the code for the pages are too much alike for them both to be original. That is my semi-expert opinion.

Well I for one am tired of idiot like this guy. I continue to say something and his freaking thread gets bumped back to the top. People could care less what is in the thread as they will only read the first post. So the more I reply the more popular it looks.

Of course its DP and the mods will ignore the reports and let it stay open.

I just posted again and now I'm done, but I also rated the thread at DP as being bad. I would like to encourage everyone that wants to get involved to do the same... Man, I like DP, but it's pretty "lawless" over there compared to Namepros.

I don't like it when some or all of a script is encrypted, but after this I won't mind as much.

Thanks for the support guys - unfortunately, DP moderators have refused to do anything about it. I've run up against this wall before (for quite a few of my other scripts actually), since people find it "fun" to null my scripts and post them on warez servers.

Oh well, life goes on - and it is good to know that I have a loyal customer base anyway

Good, It makes me feel a little better about DP.

But you know, even if people do that, you can still fight back. All you have to do is provide some proof that you own the code, and then contact the sites that use illegal copies. If they don't comply, you can contact their ISP who should take you seriously, because illegal activities extend to their business. Going after the buyers may be the only way to reach the bad guys and make it less attractive for people to use stolen scripts. If the buyers start asking for refunds from PayPal, it will get PayPal's attention as well.

Does this only integrate with vBulletin? Are there plans to integrate with other software? Willing to pay for integration if reasonable.

Also the features say easy to customize theme/design... is it all CSS? Are their templates to modify code/layout? Css editor in admin area with preview of what you're changing?

If I make changes and add features to script if I want to share them am I able to charge for the modifications I make or do they have to be free if I want to share? For small one's obviously free would be way to do it but if I take a week of work to make a big modification that is a big benefit to have, I might want to charge.

I know we can pay for you to install... does this mean there's no install user interface? Is it all editing files and uploading? If no user interface that goes through this, what is the cost to install? I might pay rather than spend time manually editing db config info and what not.

Also, are we free to remove any copyright/powered by etc links at bottom? If there's a cost to do so what is it?

mh0825: This script is standalone - it does not integrate with any forum software at all, it is completely separate. We have no plans to offer integration into any other pieces of software, so if you want to integrate it, you'll need to hire a programmer to do so. Same goes for features - you'll need to hire an outside programmer to make the modifications (these you are more than welcome to offer back to DiscountedScripts and others at a profit so we can offer them to our purchasers as well; however, they must be installable without bundling them, as you cannot distribute the script itself).

Installation includes database setup and configuration, as well as basic site information configuration. The script will be fully functional when we complete installation, but it will not be branded and the templates will not be modified.

You are free to remove any and all copyrights on the script, but you may not distribute the script in any form.
