here's my list of excuses for up and coming web hosting companies!
if you are a nwebie host master...better learn these well


when the servers are down athough you promised 99.9% (which even god will not promise!) 8-X you can use one of these:

1. we are just upgrading to a faster serrver!
2. the datacenter is under viruses attack
3. it is not our fault...we just resellers!
4. the technicians are working on it.
5. under our agreement, we are allowed 2 days downtime!(?)
6. we regret to inform you that back-up is your own responsibilty
7. i am just passing you the same message from the datacenter
8. i dont know what happen!!
9. we will be up in two hours...guranteed!
10. later...ok ok in another 2 days
11. its sunday(or any holidays)....you have to wait..
12. it was an act of God!
13. everyone is also facing the same problem...my sites are down too!!
14. what do you expect for $200 a year unlimited reseller?...just wait!

if all else fails,

1. block your MSN, AIM,Yahoo chat
2. put a busy tone to yr mobile phone
3. stay clear of forums

Used to use a company 101-webhosting - and they used all of those excuses.

Glad it went under! :p

1 and 4 are perfectly reasonable explanations, if they are not overused, as for me, that is mainly the case.....

But we only had about 4 seconds downtime moving to a faster server so..... :lol:

number 7 seems pretty resonable to me as well, not much you can do if a servers dead and your waiting for chassi swap from dc,
