For those of you who don't like people using this sort of thing for traffic to their site...

Wow! Google rocks again!

Google’s aim is to provide you information…. this way or another way…

“Similar pages” in gmail account area or now “RSS Feed”

gmail rss feed

Web Clips shows you news headlines, Gmail tips, blogs, any RSS and Atom feed, relevant sponsored links, and more — right at the top of your inbox and messages. Receive updates from your favorite sites without having to leave Gmail!

Each clip displays the source from which it was received, how long ago the clip was published, and a link to access the entire story or page containing the clip.

Here’s how to customize which Web Clips are shown in your account:

1. Log in to your Gmail account.
2. Click Settings at the top of any Gmail page, and open the Web Clips tab.
3. Browse popular clips by selecting a topic link along the left. Search for feeds by entering topics that interest you — use this feature like you would Google Search. Or, enter specific feed URLs.
4. Click Add next to the clips you’d like to see in your Gmail account.

Note: Clips of your favorite RSS and Atom feeds are displayed randomly, and aren’t targeted to the contents of your mail.

No, no.

Go ahead and post it, but you can post the news directly to the topic rather than using it as a cunning way to get traffic. Sure, cite the link of where it came from, but it's annoying to have to visit someone's site just to read something that they could have posted.

It's like saying to people who PM me to sign up and PM me on my site.

as always GMAIL took the experimental roll-out approach.. some of us had this feature on our accounts for over 2 months...

there are many things they keep changing and they rollout slowly throughout Gmail network

It's a pretty simple RSS reader, but neat nonetheless.
I'm just syndicating my tech news site. lol

It's not a link, it's on the top of the emails. :p

I really think that this is a nice feature, personally I just quickly log onto GMail and check my e-mail. Other than that I really don't have time to look at the text.

DomainSarahUK, you can find the web clips right when you login. It's on the top, just before the list of all your e-mails.
