I am debating selling a Video Professor affiliate site I've run for about 18 months now. In that time, I've made over $4500 in affiliate sales without paying one single cent in advertising costs. I have built up traffic and sales by getting the sites listed in the search engines and advertising on my own family of sites.
If you are not familiar with the product, it is a "Free CD" program where people pay just $6.95 for shipping to receive 3 computer training CDs. They must use a credit card to pay for shipping, and when they do, you receive a commission of $18-22 (one program I use pays $18, the other $22 - it's easy enough to change so that you use just one).
There are two domains for sale - http://www.video-professor-computer-training-free-cd.com & http://www.video-professor-free-cd.com . Both have PRs of 4, and both are listed in Yahoo, Google, and MSN (In fact, they are listed #4 & #5 for "Video Professor" in Yahoo and MSN - a search term with an Overture count of 14,975).
Money made on this website has been made by mixing links between two different ad programs: Azoogleads.com and AdReporting.com.
There are two domains inlcuded, as indicated below:

What would be included in this sale are both domains, all website content, help transferring the URLs to a new server, and a reasonable amount of consulting time as to how to get/keep the search engine positioning.
Although I have made this money, and I believe myself to be an honest broker (i.e. this is not an ebay scam sale), I offer no guarantees about future sales on this site (you'll get what you put in). I have relied on a very passive income approach which has worked well for me - using search engine marketing to get preferential listing and waiting for large advertising blitzes to lead to search engine inquiries and traffic. I believe that if you know what you're doing, this will work for you as well - and if you push it harder (i.e. legitimate email marketing), it can do much better.
