I'm working on a site for my in-laws:

shiversbbq.com

I made the header and sidebar using slices with photoshop but I want to continue the wood border into the right and bottom of the main content. What is the best way to do this?

Thanks!

hello

Are they small images stretched or one large image. If they're one image I suggest selecting the horizontal selection tool in a certain area and stretching the image.

For the bottom border just use one of the images from the header and use it for the footer.

Simple really if I read what your trying to do right. Just slice the repeating part of your template like this, everything to the sides of the place you put your box gets its own slice(make that all one slice), and then the place where you put text or whatever gets its own box, then set the main tables height to blank and it will automatically make it longer when you type more into it. I did this for an IPB Skin that surrounded the entire board but I dont know if this is what you are trying to do. If your trying to make it surround a box but expand when you fill the box in more simply just make the border with the box part but it can be blank cuz ur box will be over it, and then make it 9 or 5 slices, 1slice for the top border 2 for each sides and one for the other border and then just set that tables height as blank. Or if you want to make it load faster make it 3 per top and bottom border one per corner if you have rounded edges or whatever and the middle slice for the top and bottom would be everything after the edges. Save it go the the top and bottom middle border image and make the image 1pixel wider in paint or whatever and save it it should load alot faster than the other way but takes a tiny bit more time.. Like a whole 5 mins extra :P
