I took all of the top reported sales of .com this year and checked what the .us versions were doing.

Very worrying results.

5. Printer.com- Printer.us = Parked

6. Affiliate.com - Affiliate.us = Parked

7. Tell.com - Tell.us = Parked

8. Systematic.com - Systematic.us = Points to .com

9. DomainRegistration.com - DomainRegistration.us = Not Found

10. LowFare.com - LowFare.us = Parked


not 1 developed site anywhere.

What percentage of domains in the .us extension do you think domainers hold ?

I'd say 70% possibly more.

Well I have to say I'm guilty of parking too
But there is a lot of speculation in the .com namespace too. I would be surprised if domainers owned 70% of the .us TLD :lala:

I think 70% is actually a very fair estimate. Look at LLL.us. I would guess that 80% of these are owned by domainers.

Agreed. Although I'm starting to see more and more foreign solar companies who are setting up operations here in the US using the .us extension.
