I was checking some unpronounceable 4 letter domains and prices are quite high. Is there a formula/method to appraise these? What does past sales data show us. Do they really sell that high.

Most non-pronounceable 4l.coms are almost worthless, but the bag holders don't want to accept this and keep holding. That said, there is still an (ever falling) floor price and a certain degree of liquidity, but the direction seems downward.

There is a slight exception with what are known as Chinese premiums (certain combinations of non-vowels) but again the market reached its peak and has been in decline for a while.

Pronounceable 4ls are also a bit of a mixed bag, with cvcv being the clear winners
