domain Unitedtravel.com - Worth anything?

Hi All,

Our company has a domain called unitedtravel.com. It was originally intended for a company/venture which never really took off, and now the boss wants to sell the domain name. From reading this forum, I gather that domains are worth more when they are developed - we have the ability to develop it if necessary, though I think he'd rather sell just the name. Any thoughts on what that domain might be worth with and/or without a site?

Also - It seems logical that a domain name like unitedtravel.com will be worth more to a company which is actually named United Travel - is it legal/acceptable to reach out to companies called that, or would that be considered sleazy or spammy?

This is a very good brandable domain for Travel companies, Go ahead and contact few people. Put it on auctions.

United Travel can be used by Airline companies who form alliances, like Skyteam.com etc. it all depends on who notices this .

There are many companies around the world with that name so it shoulnd't be hard to find an and user. I would not sell for less than low $$$$$ (5 figures).
