domain UK1page.com (today Great Britain tomorrow the world?)

Hi,

I recently set up the above site as a Portal and the mission was to get visitors to set it as their Home Page. You'll understand if you go and have a look www.UK1page.com

Revenue is generated via Amazon, a ton of affiliate programs with British High Street stores, Adsense,Chitika and ClickBank. But hopefully has stuff on there that, while not earning revenue for me, is of use to the visitor. I try and keep it Banner Ad free so it's not apparent that it's a money generating site.

It occurred to me that savvy people in other countries (and US States) might see the benefit of owning their Country or States's Home Page of choice. So I have purchased every country and US state '1page' domain name.

e.g. www.France1page.com, www.China1page.com, www.Texas1page.com, www.LA1page.com etc. In truth I was a bit surprised to find that they were all available.

My initial idea is to sell them and to include a web template so people can copy what I'm doing on www.UK1page.com but insert their own content and affiliate links.

I'd appreciate thoughts on the best way to market/sell the idea and how much I could charge.

It's a global franchise

If www.UK1page is Great Britains Home Page of choice and www.Russia1page.com is Russias and www.Spain1page.com is Spains and www.Germany1page.com......... it's world domination but without the bullets!

OK that's a trifle optimistic but I hope you get it now.

Or www.Canada1page.com for that matter

It seems to me like a very good idea to me. I suggest you sell each page for about £5000 each, including hosting. The owner needs to build the content, write the pages, ect, and can use Adsense ect. for their ROI.

Be sure to make a good business model though.

Thanks for that input - I have to say that I was looking at $1000 or less but your very positive feedback has made me think.

The working 'model' www.UK1page.com which went online mid-december last year is making me around $100 per week so far, but it's early days and I'm in the process of doing a big PR push in the next couple of days so hope to see that climb up a bit this/next month.

I'm looking for web savvy partners to help me promote the whole thing so anyone interested should e-mail me.

why spain1page and not españa1página or espana1pagina, and so on? If you want the local market the names should be in the local language imo.
