Great opportunity - the shortest domain name you can possibly have.
This name was used for a URL shortener, but I discontinued it because I didn't have time to manage it well. The existing shortened URLs are still working, and it continues to receive considerable traffic. For example, according to my Apache log file it had 51,675 hits yesterday (September 20). Of course most of those were to shortened URLs which were then redirected to other sites.
According to Alexa, it has 2205 inbound links (see attached screenshot).
The domain is registered with Nunic (the primary registrar for .nu) and is paid through October 10 of this year. It's been around since 1997, and has done well on Google whenever I've worked at developing it.
I believe the largest potential for u.nu is in the Dutch-language market, where it means "you now" and can be used for catchy subdomains like "wat.wilt.u.nu" (What do you want now?). The Dutch economy is one of the strongest in Europe at the moment, and Dutch consumers are heavily online.
