I noticed a domain name i let expire........DaddyFeelsLucky.com was bought by Tucows..........who is this and what do they do? more importantly, why did they buy that cheesy domain?

Not sure why they wanted it but you can find out who they are and what they do by visiting their site.

I would agree tucows is a big company/whatever

they have a open source type of thing going on.

Tucows only appears to the be registrar/registration company, not the domain owner. You might know Tucows as OpenSRS in the domain industry. They are the backbone registar for many smaller registration sites, like register4less.com and ev1servers.com. You can find out more about them from http://resellers.tucows.com/opensrs/

As for why it was registered by the new owner, that's anyone's guess. :D
