The logo, the background and left navigation looks nice. I would suggest you to put a central welcome message with good font properties. You should also put more content with good design and post it again for further review.

The logo isn't bad but I think it should be a red checkmark. I also think you should change the background and make the site look a little more professional.

yeah i agree on what TheComputerGeek247 said, change your background maybe white, and make the header more professional, you can find a nice free stock photo at sxc.hu, you can use the image to create a prefessional header. Also browsing some site will give you an idea on how you should design your page.
