I read this today and thought you guys might find it interesting:

Perhaps the best point the author makes is that if TLDs like .aero and .museum were introduced a decade earlier before companies pumped millions into the web, maybe .com wouldn't have become the king it is today?

.US should of been on the list, it seems to be a major cctld failure. America is the largest county in the world, and not many people even know of the extension or use it. Most of the sold .us domains are parked pages. The census confirms there is no future in America.

Actually in ccTLD terms, the .us ccTLD is a success considering that it has massive competition from .com as the de facto US TLD.
