Toast.com 10K
toast.com.au 1k to the right buyer

What exactly does "to the right buyer" mean? How about a likely sale price for this name?

Right Buyer == Australian & a public speaking professional that has a need for a corp. website with Ideal name.

ANY aussie Name is WORTH way more than $50-$100

Oh man. These appraisals are way less than I was expecting. I need to stop looking at The YTD sales charts

Need to look at actual auction data rather than a list of the very highest sales, anyone is going to get false ideas if the data is just the very pinnacle.

Toast.com is a killer domain. You've gotta get past the old cd-burning software association, but no big deal. Toast is a great word.

Brandable, memorable, and really a whole lot of fun to say. Try saying it several times quickly, or in a funny voice... see what I mean? Fun, fun, fun -- no two ways about it.

While I'm thinking of it, Toast.com would make a great video game title for a new First Person Shooter. "Dude that guy is TOAST."

Take a look at the domains in snoop's signature... which would you rather have? Toast or Arithmetic? Toast or Crafting? No offense snoop, but math makes some people downright crazy. Crafting is probably cool, but sounds like something you do when you get old.

Everybody likes toast. Okay some people have that wheat problem and they probably couldn't care less about the stuff, but most people definitely like toast.

I smell it all the time in my neighborhood -- speaking of which, I, for one, wish less people in my neighborhood (Hint -- are you paying attention fellow citizens?) would burn the hell out of the stuff which is sure what it smells like they're doing in there, but I guess that's neither here, nor there, and not your concern at all.

Toast is a top domain if you place it in the right hands. I wish I knew which hands would do the best job of making you see stars, 'cause I'd tell you. Not mine, mind you -- so don't get any ideas. At least, not at this time... if I change my mind, I'll PM you. Okay?

Toast.com : $25K
(maybe more if you find that video game company looking for a FPS brandable...)

This is a similar line of discussion to gangsters.com a while ago,

http://www.namepros.com/domain-appraisals/596874-gangsters-com-almost-11-years-old.html

People argued for weeks how it was worth 25-50k etc. In the end the market spoke and it got 16k.

The problem is there is no popular video game called "Toast". If there was it would be an easier sale but it is branding word and people generally won't just pay 25k etc because of that.

It is a great name, but the logic of something being worth something because someone might come along and call a video game "Toast" doesn't mean much. We are in la la land again.

Take a look at the domains in snoop's signature... which would you rather have? Toast or Arithmetic? Toast or Crafting? No offense snoop, but math makes some people downright crazy. Crafting is probably cool, but sounds like something you do when you get old.

Regarding Arithmetic.com and Crafting.com what exactly is your point? You think these are not so great names whilst at the same time your own site advertises names for sale such as "ALongTail.com" and "InDogITrust.com"? Reality pill needed :)

Thanks for visiting my site, snoop! :loveyou:

Don't get all down and out about your domains. I think they're pretty cool... definitely better than some of mine, hands down.

I just happen to like toast better. If I'd known I might hurt your feelings, I wouldn't have made the comparison. I like you snoop. Off the record : You bring a much needed perspective to "discussions".

Whereas gangsters.com was somewhat limited in it's potential applications, in my opinion, toast is not. Toast would be a great name for a software development firm, or even a fine beverage supplier focusing on weddings and the like.

I can imagine it getting $25K... and not having to pinch myself to see if I'm dreaming.

Toast.com is a tough one to appraise. It really depends on the venue and buyer. It could sell from $10K - $100K+ depending on any number of factors.

I agree with Bmugford, I wouldn't even be able to start guessing at a price I would pay as there are other things I would do with it...maybe branding it into a massive wedding subniche site, or a kitchen utensils site, but the proof is in the pudding of how much people might want it...

$20,000 would not seem unreasonable to me but it could go either way.

IMO toast.com is worth whatever someone has spare to buy it with. If someone was to rebrand as "toast" and hey, it isn't that bad a name so it's quite possible, that domain is worth anything from $25k to $100k.

I agree with this entirely; it's a 'wide swing' kind of name. It refers to so many things, from generic food to slang coolness, to previously-branded-software, etc. I think there will be no problem getting in the $10 - 15K range for it from resellers and end users alike. It's such a well-used slang word also (at least, it was) that brandability is also a key factor to a possible high sale.

I think a sober estimate is in the 10K - 25K range, but could easily go higher if motivated end users bid against each other. If you're serious about selling, try find a very good domain agent to do the legwork for you. A top-of-the-line domain seller, someone like Rick Latona, you KNOW would get high xx,xxx to low xxx,xxx for this name - that's due to selling smarts and contacts, rather than just putting the name for sale and letting things happen on their own.

GL, nice name and potential for a high sale if things done smartly.

A'ight, I'm outta here, this thread is toast.

Mid xx,xxx
The smell of toast in your neighborhood is probably a coffee bean roasting house. It smells very similar to burnt toast.

I wouldn't consider to sell for less than $100k.
With over 4M google searches a month, the .com is worth 300k easily IMO.

I don't see it personally, his sales results seem to much the same as most other venues. Take the last lot of live auction results on his site,

Latona's Brokerage and Auction House

I don't see anything particularly amazing, just roughly what people would expect. Toast.com is the kind of name that might suit an auction, but Sedo, Moniker, Rick Latona, I don't think the end result is going to be much different.
