Domain is i.P.h.o.n.e.D.r.i.v.e. dot com. New app just released by a company by the same name allows users to hook their phone to a mac and use it like a usb drive. Not a huge app, but the type-ins skyrocketed after the app was announced.

Traffic has fallen back to earth, but I've gotten several views of offer at sedo since then and have an email into the company to get their offer.

Any thoughts?

I think "company by the same name" would have a little more basis to take the name then they had with "product by the same name minus the 'drive' part." How long have you had the name, what type of site, if any, did you have before the product was announced, and what are your plans with the name? Also, you currently have a parking page full of i phone ads, which isn't really that great of an idea, unless you're just trying to make a quick buck off parking before you get on anyone's radar screen. I would make a small parking page with adsense focused on online data storage sites. That's still kind of questionable, but not as bad as the current ads. It would be like I made a product named WidgeterThing, you registered WidgeterThing.com, and I was paying for clicks from your site.

With all that said, i Phone traffic is pretty hot right now, so depending on how good it is, anywhere from $xx to $much much more :td: if the company wants it but can't build a case and has to buy it outright.

Good points, thanks for the input. It's actually "product by the same name", my post wasn't very clear on that. And yes, I have owned the domain since January... so there are no real legal concerns with the company itself.

Yeah, the parked page should probably be something else... wouldn't take long to develop a content site if I end up keeping the domain and letting it cook for awhile. Trademark issues are always a concern when Apple is involved, but if they've used iPhone in their product name, it can't be too much of a concern for the company at least.

Anyway, thanks again. Rep added and more input welcome. :tu:
