Nice domain! Congrats.
The good news the Ticket industry is HUGE, the bad news the Ticket industry is HUGE. There no breaking into large volume show, sports, concert ticket sales (well at least in USA) unless one is Bill Gates

But luckily there all kinds of tickets

Buy a charitable 'lottery' ticket would be perfection use.

Your org purchase is half what the dot CO sold for three years ago. Ticket.io sold for 2/3 of what you paid. Other sales are older or not so important (like the xyz)

Good Luck
Have you tried AccurateAppraisals.com?

I hear they are good and charge just $88 to tell you the name is worth $888,888.88
Great acquisition!

thanks for the advice

I'd estimate it to be worth around $9,999 at the moment.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

The best appraisal of the day :xf.laugh::xf.laugh::xf.laugh:

Seriously though I would have a hard time with the singular as well as the org. The two together would get me to shy away.

Do I think you got a bad deal?
Not necessarily, but I think you paid all the money, you might be able to flip it for 2-5k profit if you're lucky.

GOT A TRAFFIC TICKET?

Go to TICKET.org and let us fight it for you.

Run by an ex cop, we know how to get you off on technicalities.

Just another application for the domain that might actually be doable.

The OP is actually one of their top customers

Low 5 figures I would think. Nice name.

Good luck.

I wouldn't have paid more than $3 - $5k... and that's already kind of iffy for me.

It's singular, versus plural. And people think "tickets" and not "ticket." Unless it's a lottery ticket...

But you know, I could see teens remembering to go to Tickets.org, for their favorite J-pop band when they start their tour! I guess you'd have to really start a huge branding campaign to force people to think TICKET rather than Tickets. You know, like um, one of those company logos: "ticket." and then they would have to explain why it's Ticket.Org rather than Ticket.Com or something.

Anyway that's just my take. $10k is so high, and I feel like IF you get a huge company interested, then yeah it would go for over $10k.

Just seen that you paid $10k for this, then you already paid close to what I'd expect it to sell for to an end user.

Here's hoping you can make a small profit at least.

People keep saying lottery tickets, those are licensed, and sanctioned operators, and the plural would be the best bet for that, if they decide to use that, but they usually operate under their charitable name for better exposure.

Majority of homelottery.com type domains, are sitting on parked pages.

Like many have said, OP paid top of the range for this one, more work, than value involved here, as a reseller you could have got better value elsewhere. You never know though, sometimes someone out there has to have it, and hopefully they knock, before you call.

Hi

IF, I were to spend $10k for a domain

I would have used that money to buy a couple of .com's that I know get traffic and earn some revenue.

singular is not always better than plural and I hope you didn't buy it, based on that saying.

Good Luck though!

imo...

I would have been concerned about all the TM's on the word ticket. The more I think about it, the more I like the keyword. Certainly a great keyword, but I know that .org dictionary words can go for cheap too.

Some words work great in .org

I paid $14.5K for R/e/v/i/e/w/.org and sold it for $45K in 3-4 years after that. Of course, did not purchase for resale, but was receiving offers in $30K-40K regularly for it and finally decided to sell.

great name

The .com sold for $1.5M, the .co sold for $20K, the .me sold for $9.6K, the .io sold for $6.6K, could go on...

I think you could at least make a decent profit if you hold onto it for a while. Nice acquisition IMO.

Good luck!
