please have a look at my site whatever.lx.ro in Firefox and IE.

You probably noticed that in IE it looks really crappy.

What can I do about it?
Here's the style sheet for the page: css stlyle sheet

Best regards,
Dan Burzo

Ah yes. Sorry. I did find the problem:
When you create a xhtml compliant file in Dreamweaver it inserts some xml tag before the DOCTYPE:

<? xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1" ?>

This apparently makes IE switch to "quirks mode" and go crazy. After removing the tag everything was ok.

Gald you posted the fix. I am sure others have had this issue :)

I never viewed it in IE but meh. I like the simple clean layout you did.

For all of you who haven't had the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the "crappy version", check this out (in IE) : whatever.lx.ro/index2.htm

I found some documentation over the problem:
http://www.w3.org/International/articles/serving-xhtml/
(under "the xml declaration")

Oh now I am blinded for life. You happy? Just Kidding. Wow the fixed version is way better than the broken one.

By the way, why doesn't IE have dotted borders? The dashed border doesn't look as nice.
And there's that scrolling problem in IE: when you scroll down the page, the dashes in the border become chaotic.
