Thinking about taking this web design course, is it worth the money?

I think it is, it's only $89 bucks, but I'd like to get some opinions:

Why not go to the source for some of the things?

For example:

I'd go to meetup.com and see if there is a user community in your area.

One of the problems that I see with the course is exactly what he talks about here:

If you're looking for a career - that's good advice.

I was very dubious at first with it being a "program" but his bio and that blog post gave me some appreciation for the fact that he's not just some cowboy - he actually seems reasonably decent. That's the most I can offer - I don't know the content or the man

Thanks for your input, I agree though, he seems like he knows what he's talking about. And I like his vlog posts.

I could say it's a good price for a tutorial. But web design doesn't really a formal tutorial. You can learn it all by yourself through reading and practice.
