Apparently there is footage from the opening of a 1928 Charlie Chaplin film that shows an older lady perhaps talking on a device. Its pretty freaky.

It's probably an early Hearing aid.

It looks like there is a small antenna, but that device would be way to small for an early walkie talkie.

the fact that she stopped right at a good spot of the screen spun a lil and got a choice edit, bet she was not a randon person but a person involve in the pictures production that wanted in the film. BUT she didnt want to be totally identifed, so what she do? Hold her hand up to her face. Small antenna? just a hair relection next to hat brim shadow.

Oh in case anybody wonders why she is "talking" Its because its a silent film!!!!!!!! Directors would scream at you and tell you what to do! And she was talking back not worrying about being heard lol.

What she saying "oh you want me to stop by the horse? Now spin"
