Thinking of what could be in the future and registering every domain that would be worthy based on that is crazy :imho:

IMO, it's just to hard to imagine what the future will hold. I don't see the need in spending hundreds of dollars each year to keep domains that might never get used.

But if it does work, I'm sure it will be a nice payout. ;)

it is very difficult to know what will happen in the future as already said here in this thread...

besides, you will have to renew them for a certain period of time... for how long until you sell them? 5, 10, 20 years?
will the internet have this same patern of accessing and using, as we know, in 10 or 20 years?

i have 2 "future names", but just 2 :)
good luck with them!

Im not so sure I agree - although I wouldnt have registered some of the OP's domain names - Regging future technology isnt a bad idea. Especially if you do your homework.

For instance - I registered - SugarBatteries.com and im crossing my fingers than 3-5 years down the line that the technology (which exists) will be commercially produced.

Just my 2 Pennies,

Justin

I agree that well-researched future technologies make good subjects for domain registrations, but I also agree that the ones in the OP's post mostly sound like what seemed futuristic about 50 years ago but never quite turned out that way. They amount to what I think will be a waste of renewal money for many years to come -- practical use of "hover cars" is a long way off, for example, among many others. And "SpaceElvis"?

I understand that one of the names 'spacefart.com is based on current research being undertaken at MIT to find an alternative energy source to relatively expensive bio-fuels
