What does this mean ?

The landrush was held last year. How come another registration process ?

These names were among the first 5,000 ones registered and were gone within the first 10 minutes of the opening of the registration process.

These are reserved names by the registry. So how could public register for it. The article seems intriguing.

The names that are most sought after are sex (what else) .mobi, adult, hotels, India, finance, entertainment and shop.mobi.

Not sure why anyone would get excited about the second most populated nation on the planet as well as one of the most tech savvy populations and perhaps the second largest emerging economies is embracing mobi.
