The Da Vinci Code - Dan Brown

Ok, has anyone read this? I just finished reading it, and it was pretty interesting. After a while I got a little tired of the "explosive revelations" drone of it all, but it brought up some interesting notes.

For one, take Da Vinci famous painting of the Last Supper....

Insanely detailed, huge scan:

In the book, there are assertions (widely talked about elsewhere) about who is being portrayed in the painting, and the true nature and secret of one of mankind's most sought after treasures.

I don't want to ruin it for anyone, but for those who've read it... any thoughts? I thought it was very interesting reading.

I picked it up, read the back of the cover, read a few pages, than put it back down.

Was it any good?

Wasn't too sure with just the cover; though it was on the campus best seller's list.

Yeah, style-wise, it reminds me of the Celestine Prophecy in my opinion.

Seems to be some rock throwing going on too:

Claims that it is plagarised:

I'm beginning to get annoyed at people going "you've plagarised me" crazy. The idea that someone would try to pit Neil Gaiman against J.K.Rowling is really bad, especially, when he's got zilch to say in the way of "negative comments" about it.

At any rate, I guess the big question in the post above is... is the person above, at Christ's Right had John (in classic Da Vinci effeminately young boy-look) or Mary Magdalene (alleged bride of Christ). (Uh, oh... why's that red dot on my forehead...?)
