Stumble Upon?

Hi guys, i've heard lots of people talking about stumble upon. I decided to join earlier this month but I really can't find a simple explanation of how to use it. I made my profile and stumbled my website, but I don't see how this is meant to drive more traffic to you site.

Could somebody give me a quick explanation of how to use it properly?

I couldn't seem to find anything in the FAQ's.

there is even a mozila plugin that is easier to use! just make a free account and start stumbling websites!

I've heard some things about it but never really took advantage of it to gain some traffic. Perhaps the best way to start is indeed to install their toolbar.
