I recently acquired StLouisMissouri.net.

I'd be interested to know what you think this might be worth.

Thanks

Ed, I love these "regional" domain names ... .COM, .ORG, and even .NET! The thing here, though ... is it's all spelled out, long IMHO.
"StLouisMO.org" would be great for their Chamber, travel, etc. (yes, I'm aware that it doesn't "look" as good).
Reg. fee - $32.50, IMHO. Do the Google and work that angle ... for "best bet" ($$) here.

Lead: http://stlouis.missouri.org

Best of Luck. :)

A similar one dropped today (and is still available at the moment) - FtLauderdaleFlorida.net. Even though it is a big tourist destination I decided to pass on it. The two word city names + the state ends up being a little unwieldy. I do have OrlandoFlorida.org which I like a lot as the search numbers are off the chart (America's #1 tourist destination) but I generally won't go over two words as it starts looking like Scrabble.

StLouisMissouri.net does represent a large metropolitan area so I'm sure someone in that region can use it so you should make a few bucks on it.

Overture shows good search numbers for people typing in the full state name (see above). A domain like this is a good one to build a doorway page for use in the search engines.

Would of use to a travel agency or real estate company wanting to attact people interested in the town. End user sale to one of these types of businesses should net you at least $200.

Just far to long for my liking.

I agree it looks cumbersome. I also have the extremely elongated PittsburghPennsylvania.net, but the overture figures for the term were just too mouthwatering for me to pass it up.

I don't think it was a bad pick up Ed - given the size of the St. Louis market I might have picked it up myself. I like the Pittsbugh domain better only because it has two words and is thus much easier to read. I think RJ is right that end users might pay a couple hundred for that name. As a search engine gateway address for a specific city it works great.
