Please appraise socialsecurity.cc

I just picked it up and I'm wondering whether it'll be worth much, with all this privatizing crap going around.

.cc isnt the best extension at the moment, however, its not terrible....

It is a 2 worder though, which does decrease value...

Wholesale ~ 0.00 - reg fee

Stats tell me a little different ~

social security 12,696.0 /day @ Word Tracker and 19,872.8 /day @ Ovt :tu:
- That is "Per" Day ... It doesn't take but a small percentage of that to cover your Expenses :tu:
socialsecurity 255.0 /day @ Word Tracker

Top 5 Bids @ Ovt Avg = $1.918

(Advertiser's Max Bid: $3.00)
(Advertiser's Max Bid: $1.92)
(Advertiser's Max Bid: $1.91)
(Advertiser's Max Bid: $1.90)
(Advertiser's Max Bid: $0.86)

I'd say find a few good Affiliate/PPC programs and put some free informative content together :)

Mid xx$ As Is -to- Low xxx$ with a little TLC ~

Good Luck !

not to start a big political feud or anything.. but privitization is quite appealing to me, because.. I dunno, it just seems that when I move away from home, go to college, start a career.. shouldn't that qualify me to manage all of my money? instead of putting it in a mandatory account that most likely I'll never see come to fruition..
I certainly don't know all the ins and outs, but from what i've heard and read about it.. by the time my generation reached the age where we're eligable for SS benefits, the system will be bankrupt.

anyway though.. yeah, i like the idea of developing it as an info site.. :gn:
And, who knows, maybe you could include a few non-destructive sentances about the other point of view? ;)

Okay...

Some information to you:

Private accounts wouldn't allow you to "manage all of [your] money". It would force you to buy stocks, and would not allow you to sell them. - Then when the time comes you will be forced to sell.

If you know anything at all about the stock market you should realize that being forced to buy will make stocks expensive for you, and being forced to sell will make stocks be worthless. Allowing huge stock investors to take advantage of the system.

In addition, privatizing social security would require 10 trillion dollars to start (because younger people wouldn't be paying for seniors anymore, but would be putting money into their own accounts, meaning the government will have to pay the seniors). This process is a horrid idea. Every investor knows that borrowing money to put into the stock market is not a good idea! The US government would literally be borrowing money from other countries and putting in in the stock market. NOT a good idea!

And, social security is not going bankrupt. The numbers you hear in the news are from the SS Trustees, and they have an extremely pessimestic estimate on how much we will grow. They predict that the US economy will grow at only a 1.6% rate for the next 75 years. The US economy hasnt grown that slow since the depression.

This means that the US would have to be in a depression for 75 years in order for social security to go bankrupt.

Lastly, in all 4 countries that have tried it it has failed. In Great Briton they are even trying to get rid of privatization all together. In Chile the citizens had the option of putting it in private accounts, or to keep it the same. The people who put it in private accounts, 30 years later, now have only 56% of what the people in the old system have.

Seriously, if the US is tricked into doing this, please consider researching it before deciding on a stance. Everyone should know that listening to the media, which is owned by 5 companies, just may be biased.

If you want more information PM me. I'll be happy to give sources and more information.

Crazy

You guys are crazy.

This is a huge topic, could generate a ton of hits, and has very high keywords.

.cc domains can still sell for quite a bit.

I would estimate $50 undeveloped for this one. With any development or sold to the right people - perhaps stock brokers wanting to specialize in SS funds - it could be worth a lot more.
