These guys collected enough money to buy an XBOX 360 from donations and managed to grab a console soon enough. Minutes later they practically SMASHED it with a sledgehammer in front of the people that were waiting in a line hoping to get an XBOX 360. Totally INSANE!!!

It's a "Social Experiment" as they say it, to see people's reaction. It is funny and all but I guess this same donation could be used in a better cause i.e. Recently I saw on TV that to set up a fully equipped first aid center in Earthquake hit Kashmir would cost around $350. So you see my point, the money could've went where it is most needed.

They use the wrong heat sync... i have heard all but negative feedback on the xbox360.

If you could buy a machine for a measly several hundred dollars that could generate tons of traffic, word-of-mouth advertising and media attention to your web site, would you buy it? If you were any kind of businessman you certainly would! That's just what they have done. They purchased a small machine for several hundred dollars to generate great publicity and interest. That is NOT a waste of money. It's a bargain. And regardless of how much emotion people are attaching to the almighty "xbox", relax already -- it's only a chunk of plastic and metal.
