Hello Fellas,
What prompted me to write this, was yet more shocking news concerning a teenager and this increasingly violent world that we live in.
Some of you will have teenage children that will be going on holiday or university etc.
Regardless of how much advice we give them, how sensible they are, or how many times they've been away without you - you worry all the time they're away.
This is a little tip (that I know has saved one girl from a would be rapist) which may give you just that little bit more peace of mind.
In their sutcase - with or without them knowing - pack a simple plastic door wedge. (they're so light - girls can carry one in their handbag)
There may be unforseen occasions where they go or stay, where there is no lock on the door.
Kicked into position, this wedge is every bit as good as any standard lock and of course will provide extra security when a door locked from the inside - can be unlocked by key, from the outside.
P.S. If you think that you may have an unwanted visitor during your absence,
discreetly place a small piece of sellotape between the bottom of the door and the floor.
If the seal is broken when you return - you know that you've had an uninvited visitor.
regards,
charbar
