Domain investors frequently ask us questions regarding selling domain names to NameMedia. With this in mind, we wanted to share the Top 5 list to clarify a few points.

1. NameMedia Buys in Bulk. NameMedia is one of the few resources that can buy names in volume. We have purchased hundreds of thousands of names in the past, including from many of you, and we are buying more right now.
2. Quick Access to Cash. NameMedia buys names very quickly – allowing you to complete a sale (and get paid!) in a short period of time.
3. Industry Trust. NameMedia is a globally trusted partner to sell domain names. You can be assured of prompt payment, an easy transaction and solid customer service.
4. Your Partner: NameMedia provides a fully integrated domain management solution whereas you can sell (or buy) your names to BuyDomains, list your names on AfternicDLS, or monetize your names through ActiveAudience.
5. Domain Variety. NameMedia buys domains from hundreds of different categories and from all the popular tld’s and cctld’s.

If you are interested in selling your domain(s), submit your names to http://www.buydomains.com/sellYourDomainNames.do.

We look forward to working with you.

All the best,

David Hauser

Sorry to say it but who ever is getting pennies for their domains has prolly got crap domains. I have been getting good prices and they actually raise their price if you counter offer, a reasonable and optimistic domainer should know that...

can you please provide us with few examples... i would appreicate that and others would too.

I'll stand by my statement in that you should sell keyword domains to NameMedia, not "short" domains.

I have had very good dealings with NameMedia. I'm probably one of few people who uses all of their services including AfternicDLS, ActiveAudience and BuyDomains. Ted gets a +1 from me too.

Here are the advantages:
1. Fair reseller bulk pricing for low-mid $xx names in bulk.
2. Smooth transactions completed in 7 days or less.
3. Fraud free paypal payments - masspay to boot.

I sell to them frequently and hope to continue doing so, they're not the best price wise, but stuff that would take forever to sell on the forums they buy in bulk in one deal. For me time saved allows me to find that many more bargains. Where I feel their offers are too low, I don't sell them those names, no hard feelings at both ends... it's just business.

I highly recommend NameMedia for trimming your portfolio if it consists mainly of medium-quality generic double-keyword names, as mine does. Yes, OF COURSE they will offer you reseller value for your domains. I'm not sure what else you might expect considering (1) They are themselves resellers, and (2) You are approaching them, not vice-versa. Still, NameMedia has offered me as much as 6x what I personally paid to backorder some domains, and within just 2 weeks after I caught them! I make a couple hundred dollars a week dumping them domains -- and I'm talking profit, not revenue. That figure beats unemployment insurance in most states.

Ted is lighting-fast and uses MassPay. I really can't complain.

Avoid selling NameMedia:
* Personal names
* Short domains (LLLL, LLL, etc.)
* High-quality domains, such as single-keyword dictionary names pertaining to industries with deep-pocket executives.
* And, of course TMed names.
