Hello,
After reading Sedo Price List I am still not sure do I pay to Sedo if I buy domains. Can someone please explain this:

Base fee for Domain Acquisition Service_____$49.00
Buying a Domain Listed on Sedo___________No Sedo Fees! ***
Commission upon Successful Acquisition_____10% of the sales price [ minimum $100 ]

What is Domain Acquisition Service and what does "** Transferring parties to agree upon and inform Sedo about which party will cover the fees" means.I didn't find anything with ** here: www.sedo.com/services/prices.php3?language=us

Thanks

Hi Polo,

If you are just buying a domain your found on their site then you do not pay anything ( unless you want to move the domain to your own registrar in which case the transfer fees are up to you ).

The Commission is paid by the seller which is why you will not find any domains under $100 as they would end up owing Sedo :)

All the best

Richard

Yes,there is no domain under 100$ on sedo.
You can find some on afternic.com,but sedo is free for buyer and seller to use.

SEDO's Domain Acquisition Service is a stand-alone service they provide .
If you are after a certain name not listed on their exchange then they will locate that domain and negotiate with the owner on your behalf.
From your statement above it looks like they might charge a minimum fee of $49.00 (for time and trouble) and they will charge you 10 pct of the final price agreed between yourself and the seller.
Obviously, they 'justify' this charge on negotiating the best and fairest price using their experience in domain selling and appraisals.

Of course , one could do this themselves.... and I often do.

maybe a bit off topic, but I hope its ok.

is it possible to see more than the last eight sold domains (on the first page)? like to search for a domain that you know have been listed and then see what it was sold for?
