Do all hosting companies provide root access on their VPS deals? Razorservers.com provides it but I wonder if it's a must or option?

It is a MUST otherwise it really isn't a VPS but an overglorified shared account.

Almost all providers give root access as Crusader said. But it seems some fully managed vps providers won't do.

I agree - that is the must.

It should be a must, but for some reason some fully managed VPS providers seem to just not give it to them. It makes sense for complete newbies, but it kind of defeats the purpose.

I suppose you have never been offered VPS with no root, haven't you? ;)

You will need root, otherwise you will not be able to do certain stuff such as install apache and other system services. In most control panels, root is also needed to install and use - as well as providing the login.

Guess it's impossible to run a VPS without root access. Razorservers.com provides this feature on their VPS deals fairly.
Wanna say I haven't seen VPSs without root access.

If I run hosting service, I won't give root access either for fully managed VPS.
Imagine what kind of headache I would have when I am responsible for it since it's fully managed acct.

Wanna just ask if razorservers.com provides Windows 2003 and 2008 and Linux, but I'd like to know if they provide the prices on their VPS accounts, which OS it means. Or it doesn't any matter?
