Lastly, there is the multiple spelling issue.
Tire and Tyre in different parts of the world.Out of curiosity, what do you mean by 'the multiple spelling issue'?
Tire and Tyre in different parts of the world.
Road or Rode
Tire or Tyre or tyer
Agreed. I was referring to the smaller potential end user base, limited to the US, as opposed to companies and tyre shops from all over the world...True, but this seems more of a 'local' domain. I doubt too many small tire shops ship tires to other continents...so RoadTire would be right for our part of the world...well RoadTires would probably be better, but you get the idea.
Fair enough. Well, except for manufacturers and traders in markets like China, with huge English language branding potential, that is in its infancy. FYI, the prevailing English spelling in use in China is tyre... and tire as wellTrue, but this seems more of a 'local' domain. I doubt too many small tire shops ship tires to other continents...
Road or Rode
Tire or Tyre or tyer
Road is the thing you drive on, rode is past tense of ride, no issue there unless they want to market to someone selling already rode on tires!
Tire is the North American spelling, tyre is used in all other English countries, so yes, that would limit it to North America, not that that is too much of a problem, but a tyer is one who ties so that is not even relevant.
a tier = a thing or person that ties, it's not tyer![]()
