Type of Contest : Images and Nav for a Forum Template
Prize : $75 For First prize. If you don't win, I will pay you $20 for your set of images if I like those as well. I have no limit on how many i'll buy so submit as many times as you'd like! I'm not buying ones I don't like tho!

Size Requirements : Real Below
Color Requirements : Your Choice, just something really nice looking. No plain jane stuff...and no yellows or anything. Maybe a red and blueish?

Sorry if it's a little confusing. It's just some simple images, just lookin for something really sharp though. We DO have a logo if you want to use it. It here is: http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/33/basketballworldlogo5zj.jpg if you use it, please get rid of all of the cropping after the letters.

For the banner, you WILL need to use a picture of a NBA player. Some names to use would be, Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, dirk nowitzki, steve nash, Tracy Mcgrady, Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Gilbert Arenas, Dwight Howard, Chris Bosh, Chris Paul, just to name a few..those are in no particular order btw. Other then that, anything saying Bballworld and/or Bballworld.us is good.

I like that one, but can you take the Tracy McGrady picture(the one of the guy in the raptors jersey) off and switch it? He plays for the Rockets now so an outdated picture. Also can you do the background picture as well, pretty important piece to it.

And Mav, sorry that doesn't really do anything more me, looks a lil tacky, i'm really not a huge fan of the images either.

There were only 2 people in this contest who did the whole project and yours was the only one that was decent, though still not nearly what I was looking for. sam2698's quality was appreciated, but not good at all. I was looking for quite a few participants and the quality here was not nearly close to that of other contests I have ran here...not paying $75 just because nobody decided to make an entry.

Your design was one I would have been paying $20 for. If you're interested in that..then PM me. Don't mean to shortchange you as I appreciated your entry, and I do respect the namepros community...this contest never worked out though as it seemed to complicated and out of place here.

If you want to extend the deadline by 48 hours to see if you can get something from your satisfaction from one of these designers or a new entrant, I'll make an exception and allow it. Otherwise it's really unfair to drop your prize from $75 to $20 (and against forum rules).

Bizbutler made a banner...the thing was for a set of images, I don't think that counts?

Sam took the design I already had and put one solid color on everything..Then when i said I didn't like it..he changed the color? I really don't think that counts either...

Mav's was a solid attempt I guess, and appreciated. It just wasn't all that good...but he at least tried.

Fico was the only person to actually spend a fair amount of time on an entry and submit it though, and actually come out with a pretty solid entry..but not an entry that should win a contest here.

That's in a week.

I have made about 5 contests here and have always paid the winners, and have always been appreciative towards them, sometimes paying the 2nd and 3rd place..and always going back to the people who have been in contests when i needed other things done first.

As I said, i tried to make the contest easily followable..however it would seem it's still confusing and scared off a ton of members even though it was basically a small set of images.

I don't think it's unfair at all, I just think it was a failed contest..and the first ailed contest I have ran. Fico and Mav were the only people to make a full entry. One was OK, one wasn't good. One I would possibly use as a backup skin and offered to pay him 2nd place money as nobody else participated...I don't think i should have to pay for something I would never use though?
