Rentals is a great keyword, no doubt with 91517OVT and 175,000,000 Google results. But I'm just unsure about the extension .com.mx. It's a third level domain of the Mexico ccTLD (second level registrations are not allowed).\

Could somebody with experience in this extension offer me an insight on this domain in terms of resale value? Thanks, rep will be definitely be added for thoughtful appraisals.

It's a tough one. I'm not familiar with the TLD but I believe it's fairly popular at least in Mexico. Mexico is a popular vacation spot for Americans so I would develop into a site for short term apartment rentals. It seems there are no ownership restrictions on .com.mx which is a good thing if you intend to resell.
No idea about pricing but it's a solid keyword (even in English) for development.
