We are about to revamp the website - it was originally done in FrontPage and now we are thinking of moving to DreamWeaver. We have our own wish list, but I was curious what you all thought.

Thanks

Hello crtreedude,

I could spend 1 hour and write about the ways you could improve this site but I dont have the time now.

To put it simple : I would change EVERYTHING... starting from logo ( identity ) and ending with color scheme.

If you are thinking of redesigning your site then my opinion is that you do it the right way.

I tend to agree - of course it is primarily a site with information - I personally am not found of sites that try to impress me with the latest bells and whistles, but it could be spiffed up a bit for sure.

The old horse has gotten us this far, it has been a very successful site, but it is definitely in need of an overhaul.

One question I have is that many of these pages are very highly ranked in google and other places - and of course that takes time. How do I keep this ranking, and yet upgrade the site?

Hey Fred :)

As long as you dont modify your pages names ( I am refering to file names ) you should be OK :)

Thanks,

I thought this would be true, but I wanted to be sure. Since for us, traffic is the name of the game, I sure didn't want to hurt it.
