domain RealEstates.cn

Hello,

mea culpa....temptation was stronger than my limited knowledge regarding this 'new' country extension, I have therefore registered RealEstates.cn believing that this name might be valuable in the future as per the current impressive development of China.

What do you think about the potential of this name ? -if the chinese registrar does not delete my registration as I have just read in a few NP posts regarding .cn cases :o( - ?

I dunno ... at first blush, it looks Okie, but it's a plural of "RealEstate" which I've never heard before ("RealEstate" can be inherently "plural", in my view ... unlike something like "property" vs. "properties").
Plus, the ".CN" ... wouldn't the Chinese type in / search for their language's equivalent of the term being in the ".CN" (versus English with the ".CN")? :blink:
All said ... Reg. fee+, IMHO. What is the actual Reg. fee here, by the way?

I also agree that the value of this domain name = the reg.fee

It is the pluralization alone IMO is what pulls the value down. RealEstate.cn would have been the better choice had it been available.

...reg fee is something like US$34 with Moniker.... I known something was wrong but did not want to listen the little voice advising to be wise and not to register this stupid plural name, today and thanks to your reactions the little voice is telling me to go and bury myself with my first fabulous .cn.

Someone from one of the large Chinese speculator communities mentioned that english .cns just aren't very popular. Considering this is uncommon English - in my opinion this domain doens't have much value.

although this is uncommon English plurial name I had noticed that all major extensions, including .us, are taken, that's what pushed me to catch the .cn one. Thank you guys for your above reactions !

reg fee if it were a .com. but it's not. sorry to say that you'd be hard pressed to get $35 for it or even $10.... although here's something....
instead of presenting it as a plural of real estate, why not present it as Real Estates (think synonymous with Actual Mansions, Real Houses, etc).....

still, maybe take netph's lead on this one.... good luck.
