Hello All,

Is there anyone who can give me some information/tips on choosing real estate names?
I notice that most seem to be U.S.A. names - Why?

Thankyou to any replies.

Are you trying to choose a name for resale or development?

As for your second question, there are over a million real estate agents in the USA. It's a big industry with a lot of money flowing through it.

Most tend to be USA i think because "real estate" is more of an American term, europe would probably use Property or Properties more if aiming for european customers - real estate if aiming for American customers.

I own a few Property & Real Estate names but it seems like great ones are hard to get a hold of and normally go for quite a alot in domain drops.

example - Vegasrealestate(dot)com went for $53,611
leaseproperty(dot)com - $4,898
Mrrealestate(dot)com - $4,850
Wacorealestate(dot) - $1,310 ---good price

Hope this helps.

OH - and don't go for *****realestate(S) with the S on the end as I have been advised by many here that it drastically reduces the value.

You're right Michelle, but I also find that "Real Estate" is typed in much more than "property" - hence more sites .

It probably is, just a thought - are you using overture to determine that ?

If so, does overture cover searches for the USA market or is it "Worldwide" ??

I'm looking for names for a (quick) resale.
Secondly, Ron, I see that all names relate to the actual location - nothing there like "sunnyside estates", etc..

Obviously, the pop. of location (plus the amount of visitors) plays a vital role in the consideration of a name

It's big business over here, too, but I dont see lots of money exchanging hands for the likes of "pallmallestates" or "parklaneplaces". )bearing in mind how popular London addresses are with Americans).
How would they do in the U.S.A,?

Yes gazzip, I was using overture for the word search - but you've raised a good question about what areas does that search cover - I honestly dont know!
