Sometimes stereotypes are accurate. 95% of on-the-day hand reg domains are terrible. It is a craft to find a hand reg that can be sold immediately for profit. Alas, most people fool themselves that they have this skill automatically.
I have 2 hand reg domains and really struggling to sell it even with lower price.. Domain name should be related to something like different industries. Another disadvantage of hand reg domains is they have zero potential. Google won't except this type of domains in ranking even with good SEO of site.

I notice the quantity of backlinks for a domain.
It's about the quality of those links. Please note that this number may have been artificially obtained through spamming. And further that the usefulness of this could be largely lost after the transfer of ownership.

Your english not clear. You mean wont index or rank high?

I have not find this information, but experienced practically.
Maybe i am wrong because i am new in this industry. Ther is no problem in indexing part but ranking.
Why i have said Google won't rank new domain easily because of external linking. In case of expired domain which has already has backlinks ( neglect spam linking ) has more potential.

This is what I have experienced till now.

Thankyou.

Yep. Good questions. Hand reg names are good, almost as much as any expired domain. Can be better, in fact, because there is no potential sordid history behind them. They can be fresh as a daisy.

One of the persons from this forum that holds the most weight in terms of hand reges, from his own storied personal experience, is BMugford. He has a great sense of balance and instinct for what sells and what doesn't. This is not some kind of paid endorsement, but look through his portfolio and you will save money and time. That he should even be so open about it, giving information freely to beginners here, is actually quite rare. Look through it and ask why these are good and yours are not. He has both experience and a refined sense for saleable hand reg. domain names.

Well, the big question is how long you have been doing this? If you say one year, well, no wonder you are discouraged. Domain and websites are money games. They take time and strategy (unless you buy your way in). One year is not enough, or even close to being enough. No such thing as instant fortunes unless you cheat. If you need to cheat, well, what can I say? I don't know you or your circumstances so I will reserve judgment.

Like any other business, hang in there til you can. When things go south beyond what you can deal with, drop it like a hot potato. Then move on. It wasn't meant for you.

I am not denying the fact that overwhelming majority of domainers register hand-register domains without doing basic research. My point is, it is difficult for a new domainer to sell even a good hand-registered domain for a reasonable price, because of the stereotype surrounding the hand-registered domains. There are some very good domains that are still available for registration but it is difficult for newbies to promote those names because of the existing stereotype among fellow domainers. Marketing plays a huge role if they try to sell the domain to potential end customers.

I am only working from last 6 months. After reading your words it seems this business is more difficult and time consuming.

Anyway, i am wrong in above comment and i will improve myself. Thankyou for correcting me.

Going through thousands of domains hurts my eyes, gives me a headache.
I hope you are doing it weekly , it is a real pain if you are doing on daily basis , take care

Domaining is opportunities, you should find the gems on a niche that will skyrocket soon before others.

We did this until @Epik.com stolen our money.

So we returned to ZERO.

This is relatable to beginners, i was suffering from this problem.
Similar problem here, but I think that brings about much experience.
It's even overwhelming to put up another name while product on market are not selling.

Believing that your domains are good.

I did all the reading, all the research etc, but in the end, they are not selling.

I have 2 listings of domains for sale on namepros and they aren’t selling. I will take this as a hint that my names aren’t good.

Right, This is the common mistake from beginners..

This is true however so few have this talent to speculate with consistent success. I'd say it's about 5% of people. So beginners should figure out quickly if they have this talent or not in order to save time.
