Good afternoon NPers!
My new website has attracted over 1700 unique visitors on its first day of launching and is now receiving around 300-600 unique visitors a day. What price should I charge for advertisement that is banner-based and is displayed throughout the entire site (only 1 advertiser)

Thanks!!

Most folks charge -per impression- that is, everytime the banner is loaded onto the screen,

its a good way of not having to think too hard,

ive seen, per impression charges range from about $5-$20 per 10,000 impressions, (bearing in mind, not clicke, just views)

i'd have to agree

now depending on your sites google PR you may want to give the option of text links

I know some people that get xxx - xxxx per month for quality text links

cause inbound links effect their ranking and is the reason they pay big bucks for it.

ranking by association :)

what is your site?

also think about using banner rotation that way you can have 2 - 3 advertisers and charge for "exclusive" spotting

don't sell yourself short that a lot of traffic per day you're pulling

but it all depends on the industry you are in really.

best of luck :D

If your only getting 300-600 uniques a day then around $10 a month. Until you start getting into several thousand uniques a day and much more you can't really charge more than that as you won't be sending much traffic out.
