Someone has prdog.com
But no one has prdawg.com

Worth much?

There is no value here, the incorrect spelling is a complete deal breaker. "dawg" is no more meaningful to "PR" than a different completely unrelated word. Spelling matters with this.

I see your name uses "dawg" too - if you're the end user, then it's worth the money you spent getting it and will be worth much more after developing.

You can also check comparable sales and current websites for sale for any use of the word "dawg", there is little or none on the market.

Edit: Keep in mind, if it had any value somebody would register it as soon as they saw this thread. It's better to use this forum for private sales.

PR could be short for public relations or press release and a few others.

Oh, well....

Not bursting my bubble, i'm from Cape Cod so i know how popular "dawg" is (heh). That's in the real world though. It doesn't translate that well to internet usage.

For example, i know somebody who created the brand "iowadawg" and with little effort, claimed the top search spot on google, twitter, basically everywhere - BECAUSE the word "dawg" is so infrequently used in domain branding.

I suspect i could do the same thing with the word "caht".

Don't be mislead by the 75k price tag on prdog.com, it's worth nothing also.

I actually ran up a list of domains available that all start with 'pr'.
All are .com...

Found a few that might be good.

But still...do I really want a page rank checker site?

If you do, you have a lot of options available for good, brandable hand reg domains.

If you're using it for personal use though, why not stick with prdawg.com since you're already in the "dawg" branding circle? The posts here merely point out it has little value - personal development is a whole other cup of tea.

No need to do it on a domain name with value, creating the value is your job! google.com and ebay.com were hand registered by the brand creators.

To be honest, I think prdawg.com is not too friendly for a pr checker site, but just my opinion

I will always think Public Relations before Page Rank.

I'd focus on your main blog - I don't think you can create enough value diversifying. Create a /prdawg on your current site imho.
