I am trying to figure out a way to do this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am building a site on my computer and am looking into posting it come June. I want to protect my Portfolio or my Look's page by e-mailing it out to serious contacts (who are looking to book an event-now) but not have it available to the public also, not forwardable. Is there a way to do this?

I am in my late 30's so, use as simple phrases and terminology as possible.

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure there is a way to do this using email. But, you could do it in php as a website and put a password on it, and send people the url and password. But then they could just share their password with people. Really, if you are afraid of people sharing it with other people there is no real way to protect it, unless you ask contacts for their ip and then you restrict visitors to authorized ip's. Again, that'd be done in php.

asp, perl, and php are all scripting languages. In my experiance php and perl are the same, only perl runs from a cgi-bin and php's don't nessesarly, though in some situations they will. i don't have experiance with asp, nor do i with perl. I was learning php a long while ago, but **** went down and i lost interest in it. Now i'm concentrating on learn visual basic, mainly because I'm talking a class at my school which teaches vb6, and i find it hard to learn 2 languages at once.

All i can say is if you want to do it in php then goto www.webmonkey.com and take their php tutorial, and look around for other tutorials, and then take a look at the php manual at www.php.net but if your not up to learning a whole new language then just get a script that does this for you... its not hard... i'm just to busy to do anything of the sort...
